2017-18 is my first year at Freedom Public Schools and I am serving in the rile of the Principal and Counselor. Freedom has been a great place to be and I’m looking forward to strengthen relationships with the students and the community as a whole. I fill in for classes as need but am certified in science, math, and helath & pe.
I have been in the Putnam City School District for the past 17 years, teaching for 8 and being a assistant principal for 9. Wile ther I taught the following; Helath & PE – 2 years, 6th Science – 2 years, 7th Math and Science 1 year, 7th Science – 3 years. I also served as Site level science chair, Athletic director and coached softball, wrestling and cheer throughout my time at the middle school where I taught.
I have 3 adult children, 2 of which are married. They all live in northwest Oklahoma and have children who attend, Alva Public Schools and Fairview Public Schools. I have 7 grandchildren ranging from 4 – 18 in age. My oldest graduates in 2018 and my youngest will enter kindergarten in 2018. They all have pets; however, I do not. My family is very important to me and I spend as much of my free time as possible with them.
If I’m not at school or a school function I try to find ways to stay busy. This could be with family or finding ways to help my students or their families. I have kept so busy over the years that I really don’t have too many hobbies. I do like to read a good book and watch good movies but would prefer doing something to keep me active.
